DIY: Why buy a Dremel when you can make your own?

Aug. 11, 2017

If you are like DIYer Joshbuilds, then you accept the challenge and build your own Dremel tool.

I would be lost without my Dremel. I use it for everything from removing rust and polishing metal to trimming my dog's nails and even carving pumpkins. If you have the right attachment and the right ingenuity, the possibilities are endless. If you are like most people, you simply buy a Dremel from the local hardware store. But if you are like DIYer Joshbuilds, then you accept the challenge and build your own. As with any project that involves fast-spinning homemade blades, please take the necessary precautions to keep yourself safe.

According to Joshbuilds for Instructables: "The mini dremel is great for cutting through small pieces of wood, plastic and Styrofoam. Its also portable and wireless which adds to its convenience. Building this is a great intro into the DIY/ hobby world and will also add to your collection of tools."
