Not every new product can be a home run. What happens to those products that just can't live up to the hype?

Technology is ever-evolving, with new and better gadgets being introduced every day. And with each new product comes a slick marketing campaign designed to leave you saying, "I've gotta have it!" But not every new product can be a home run. What happens to those products that just can't live up to the hype?

Sometimes the product comes with a price tag that is just too high for the average consumer, like the $349 Apple Watch. Sometimes the advancement is more of a gimmick than an innovation, like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, which offered a new way to get messages, but not much more. Sometimes the product infringes on user rights, like Windows 10 violating privacy. And sometimes they just explode, like the popular hoverboards.
