Think North Carolina in October. During its annual conference, the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP, www.smrp.org) will be offering a free job fair, Oct. 17, in Greensboro, North Carolina. SMRP's annual education conference annually brings around 1,000 maintenance and reliability (M&R) professionals, and the job fair is expected to attract more than 100 leading manufacturer, supplier and service companies. The 2010 SMRP Job Fair, as a reference point, showcased more than 75 job openings.

“We’re excited to provide this opportunity to both the M&R community and as an added value for local North Carolina career seekers and companies looking for highly skilled employees,” said Jay Padesky, CMRP, chairman of the 19th Annual SMRP Conference. “I have no doubt this will be the most comprehensive opportunity these businesses will have to find the top talent they need to expand and develop their organizations, and that M&R job seekers will have to find the next step in their careers.”

Attendance at the job fair is complimentary for any manufacturing professional interested in exploring career opportunities. The event will be held Oct. 17, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Koury Convention Center at the Sheraton Greensboro and will feature companies looking to hire. The fair currently has 60 positions listed in various industries around the world.

Companies at the fair will include DuPont, ABS Consulting, Carver PA, MRG, Meridium, Genesis Solutions, UGL Unicco, GP Allied / Allied Reliability, and the Fort Bragg Regional Alliance.
