Sewon America, an automobile body parts manufacturer, plans to open a new production facility in Rincon, Georgia. The $300 million investment, which will generate 740 new jobs for the area, will be used to produce electric vehicle body pars for OEMs. The company already has one facility in LaGrange, which has doubled in size since it began production in 2018.
In a recent quote, Governor Brian Kemp said, “Today we not only celebrate delivering on our promise to create jobs in all four counties in the JDA, but also the growth of a valued partner in our business community. On my very first international trip as governor to Korea, I had the opportunity to congratulate Chairman Kim on the company’s then-recent expansion and discuss how we could continue to work together. I am proud that those discussions have now led to this announcement as Sewon America continues to grow their Georgia operations.”
