ABB acquires Siemens low voltage NEMA motor business

ABB has acquired the Siemens low voltage NEMA motor business. The acquisition, which was announced last year, is designed to strengthen ABB’s position as an industrial NEMA motor manufacturer. The Siemens low voltage NEMA motor business generated about $63 million in revenue in 2021 and employs approximately 600 workers. According to ABB, the rebranded horizontal and vertical induction severe duty and general-purpose motors will be available in Q2 of 2023.
