DENSO has announced plans to improve its Battle Creek, Michigan, thermal manufacturing facility. The $63 million investment will be used to retool production lines for new offerings that will support electric vehicles. More than 2,100 employees currently work at the Battle Creek facility, and this investment will propel DENSO’s continued “green mobility transformation” in the state. DENSO is a member on the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Talent Action Team, and the global mobility supplier works with the state to design and implement programs to train current and future employees for the electric vehicle transition.
In a recent quote, Andy Clemence, a senior vice president at DENSO, said, “We are grateful for the Governor’s commitment to strengthening Michigan’s position as an advanced mobility leader. While our locations across the globe and North America are vital to our mission of contributing to a better world, we are proud of the impact that our Michigan teams have in designing, developing, testing and producing DENSO products. The investment will help our team build upon our rich legacy in the state and propel us toward a greener, safer future.”
