ORBIS Corporation has announced plans to expand its manufacturing facility in Urbana, Ohio. The company, which specializes in reusable packaging, will expand the plant’s production space by 30%. The expansion will allow ORBIS to add more presses and tools, increase capacity, and shorten lead times. The facility currently produces totes and pallets, and the company hopes this expansion will help it better serve its customers.
In a recent quote, Norm Kukuk, president at ORBIS, said, “A more sustainable supply chain starts with reuse. Our customers rely on us to help them move their goods in the supply chain more sustainably with reusable packaging. This expansion gives us the flexibility and capacity to enhance production of our packaging products. The people of our Urbana plant are dedicated, committed and focused on serving the customer. This expansion gives them the infrastructure to make that possible.”
