Doowon Climate Control America, Inc. has announced plans to build a new manufacturing facility in Metter, Georgia. The auto parts manufacturer, which acts as a supplier for Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia and Hyundai Motor Group, will invest $30 million into the project, generating 200 new jobs in the process. The company plans to hire injection molding technicians; assembly operators; quality, materials, and production specialists; engineers; and management. The new plant will produce automotive climate control systems for traditional and electric vehicles. Operations at the new facility are expected to begin in 2026.
In a recent quote, Ki Chun Sung, CEO of Doowon Climate Control America, Inc., said, “Doowon Climate Control America, Inc. is making significant investments to establish itself as Doowon Group’s inaugural automotive air conditioning system production facility in the United States.
