U.S. Boiler Company invests $5.5 million to expand manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania
U.S. Boiler Company has announced plans to expand manufacturing in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The company, subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc. that produces residential and light commercial heating products, will invest $5.5 million into the project, creating at least 15 new jobs for the surrounding area. As part of the project, U.S. Boiler Company will build a new 45,000-square-foot manufacturing facility featuring new production lines, conveyors, and storage racking. The company hopes to use the expansion to increase production of the Alta family of low-emission, high-efficiency boilers. To support the project, the Commonwealth will invest an additional $3.2 million to aid the expansion. The company will also receive a $3 million Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) loan, a $177,000 Pennsylvania First grant, and a $45,000 workforce development grant to train workers.
In a recent quote, Christopher Drew, President and CEO, Burnham Holdings Inc., said, “Burnham Holdings and U.S. Boiler have been committed to Pennsylvania for decades. The Commonwealth’s support of this project, which expands USB’s production capacity for its best-selling low emission, high-efficiency boiler product, the Alta, is a win for U.S. Boiler and a win for Pennsylvania.”
