GF Casting Solutions invests $184 million to build a new manufacturing facility in Georgia

The new plant will be used to manufacture cast aluminum parts, with a special focus on large structural components for the automotive industry.

GF Casting Solutions AG has announced plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Augusta, Georgia. The company, which specializes in lightweight components for the mobility and energy industries, will invest $184 million into the project, creating 350 new jobs in the process. The new plant will be used to manufacture cast aluminum parts, with a special focus on large structural components for the automotive industry. According to GF Casting Solutions, the Augusta facility will be LEED certified and located in Augusta Corporate Park, a Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development (GRAD) site. Production at the new plant is expected to begin in 2027.
