Raymond invests $15.6 million to open Energy Solutions Manufacturing Center of Excellence in New York
The Raymond Corporation and Toyota Material Handling, two companies within Toyota Material Handling North America, have announced plans to expand their operations in Kirkwood, New York. Specifically, The Raymond Corporation will invest $15.6 million to open the Energy Solutions Manufacturing Center of Excellence.
According to the company, this facility will allow Raymond and its parent company to create a more diverse portfolio of energy solutions, including lithium-ion battery packs used in Raymond lift trucks. The project is expected to generate 45 new jobs for the surrounding area, with operations beginning in 2025. To help aid the project, Raymond will receive up to $1 million from Empire State Development through the performance-based Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit program.
