S&C Electric Company has opened a new manufacturing facility in Palatine, Illinois. The company, which is a provider of equipment and services for electric power systems, recently unveiled its new 275,000-square-foot plant, which is located 25 miles from S&C’s 47-acre headquarters and manufacturing campus. The facility will produce circuit-switchers, devices that protect transmission substation transformers, and other grid-hardening equipment. Additionally, 200 new jobs were created.
