Manufacturer invests $17M to add 2 blown film extrusion lines to its Louisiana plant

The expansion will include the installation of two new blown film extrusion lines to support growing demand.

Mid South Extrusion (MSE) has announced plans to expand its facility in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. The company, which manufactures flexible film and bags, will invest $17 million into the project, creating 21 new jobs in the process. The expansion will include the installation of two new blown film extrusion lines to support growing demand. The two new lines are expected to be operational in 2025. To help aid the project, MSE was offered an incentives package that includes the workforce development solutions of LED FastStart and a $500,000 performance-based grant for building modifications and utility improvements.
