Fabricated Steel Products, Inc. (FSP) has announced plans to expand its production plant in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. The company, which specializes in steel fabrication, will invest $3.2 million into the project, creating 15 new jobs in the process. The expansion will include a robotic assembly and welding line that is anticipated to increase production by 50%. According to the company, the project will add 5,600 square feet of advanced fabrication space at FSP’s facility, and construction will be complete in 2025.
To aid the expansion, FSP received an incentives package from Louisiana Economic Development (LED) that includes the workforce development solutions of LED FastStart and a $150,000 reimbursable grant from the Economic Development Award Program for infrastructure and equipment. Additionally, FSP is eligible to participate in the state’s Industrial Tax Exemption and Quality Jobs programs.
