Nucor invests $200M to open utility structures manufacturing plant in Utah
Nucor Corporation’s Towers & Structures business unit has announced plans to build a new utility structures production facility in Brigham City, Utah. The company, which specializes in the manufacture of steel and steel products, will invest $200 million into the project, creating 200 new jobs for the surrounding area. Nucor is currently building two utility structures production facilities in Decatur, Alabama, and Crawfordsville, Indiana. According to the company, the new Utah plant will be highly automated and will enjoy a freight advantage compared to competitors outside the region.
