Overland AI opens autonomous ground vehicle manufacturing facility in Washington

The new plant will act as a hub for Overland AI-designed platforms and the precision upfitting of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) vehicles.

Overland AI has officially opened the Overland AI Factory in South Seattle, Washington. The company, which specializes in autonomous ground systems, hopes the new plant will enhance its in-house manufacturing and production capabilities. According to the company, the Overland AI Factory is engineered for the end-to-end development and rapid production of both crewed and uncrewed ground vehicles. The new plant will act as a hub for Overland AI-designed platforms and the precision upfitting of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) vehicles. Overland AI Factory is designed to accelerate the development of ground vehicles powered by OverDrive, which supports tactical operators across the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command.
