ABB invests $120M to increase manufacturing of low-voltage electrification products in the U.S.
ABB has announced plans to expand its manufacturing of low-voltage electrification products in the United States. The company, which specializes in electrification and automation solutions, will invest $120 million into the project, allowing ABB to meet increasing demand from customers in a range of industries.
Of the total investment, $80 million will be used to build a new advanced manufacturing facility in Selmer, Tennessee. The 320,000-square-foot facility will replace the existing ABB Selmer operations, increasing production capacity by more than 50% and generating 50 new jobs for the surrounding area. According to ABB, the new plant will manufacture electrical distribution equipment for large-scale industrial and technology-driven facilities. Production at the new plant is expected to begin in Q4 2026.
The remaining $40 million will be used to double the size of ABB’s existing manufacturing site in Senatobia, Mississippi. This investment will allow ABB to meet increasing demand for advanced low-voltage circuit breakers from its North American customers. The expansion will be completed in Q2 2026 and will create 200 new jobs.
