TS Conductor invests $134M to build advanced conductor manufacturing facility in South Carolina
TS Conductor has announced plans to open its second U.S. manufacturing facility in Jasper County, South Carolina. The company, which specializes in advanced conductor technology, will invest $134 million in the project, creating 462 new jobs. The new 301,275-square-foot facility will manufacture advanced carbon-core conductors used in high-voltage transmission lines, including critical high-voltage direct current (HVDC) capacity. This facility represents the first phase of a three-phase expansion plan, with future plans for an additional one million square feet at the site. Operations are expected to begin by the end of 2025.
The new plant will incorporate the latest conductor technology, which enables utilities to double or triple transmission capacity while reducing costs for customers. This patented technology will play a key role in modernizing the U.S. power grid to meet growing demand from data centers and domestic manufacturing. TS Conductor’s investment is supported by a $5.11 million Closing Fund grant to Jasper County for site preparation and building construction, approved by the Coordinating Council for Economic Development.
