Bayer invests $44M to expand consumer health product manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania
Bayer has expanded its consumer health product manufacturing facility in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. The company, which produces over-the-counter health and wellness products, invested $44 million into the expansion. The 70,000-square-foot facility is located in Lebanon County and includes eight new product packaging lines along with automated logistics systems. These improvements are designed to increase efficiency and allow for faster market delivery of products such as Bayer Aspirin, Aleve, Claritin, One A Day, Alka-Seltzer Plus, and Midol.
Bayer will integrate advanced technology and streamlined processes at the facility to enhance its ability to deliver reliable, science-driven self-care solutions. The company is also committed to digitally upskilling its workforce to adapt to new technologies and maintain a competitive edge in modern manufacturing.
The company will engage local high school educators by inviting them to tour the facility, sharing information and insights that can be brought back to local school districts to better prepare students for future careers in manufacturing.
