Owens Corning invests to build shingle manufacturing facility in Alabama

The facility is expected to create nearly 100 skilled manufacturing jobs, according to the Alabama Department of Commerce.

Owens Corning has announced plans to construct a new shingle manufacturing facility in Prattville, Alabama. The company, which produces building materials and roofing products, is investing in the project and expects to create nearly 100 new jobs.

The Prattville plant will include a four-wide laminator designed to produce approximately 6 million squares of laminate shingles each year. The facility will use advanced automation to enhance production efficiency and support demand for Owens Corning’s roofing products.
